1. Who we are

Clarity Books Online Courses (“we,” “us”) is operated by Ivory Rock LLC, 7901 4th St N., Ste 300, St. Petersburg, FL 33702. This policy explains what personal information we collect through clarityonlinecourses.com, how we use it, and your choices. For questions or requests, email privacy@clarityonlinecourses.com.

2. Who this site is for

The site is currently offered to students in the United States. Students under 18 use the site through an account held by a parent or guardian, who is responsible for the account. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without a parent’s or guardian’s involvement. If you believe a child has given us information without a parent’s knowledge, please email us.

3. Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email address, username, and password (stored in protected form).
  • Learning records: the courses and lessons you open, your progress, your answers to exercises, your grades, and the written work you submit for review, along with feedback and marks from checkers.
  • Payment information: memberships are paid through third-party payment processors, including but not limited to PayPal. We receive confirmation of payment and basic order details. We do not see or store your full card or bank details.
  • Messages: anything you send through our contact form or by email, including your name, email address, and message.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, collected through server logs, cookies needed to run and protect the site, and our analytics service (see section 6).

4. How we use information

  • To create and manage your account and give you access to courses.
  • To save your progress, grade your work, and show you results and feedback.
  • To process payments and manage your membership.
  • To send account and course emails, such as password resets, grade notices, and receipts.
  • If you create an account but do not finish starting a membership, we may send you a reminder email. Any such email will include a way to unsubscribe.
  • To answer your questions and give support.
  • To understand, in general terms, how the site is used so we can improve it.
  • To keep the site secure, prevent spam and abuse, and fix problems.
  • To meet legal and tax obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

5. Who can see student work

Your submitted work, grades, and feedback are visible to you (or the parent or guardian holding the account) and to the checkers, tutors, and administrators who review work and run the courses.

6. Services that handle your information

  • Payment processors, including but not limited to PayPal: process payments. Each processor’s own privacy policy applies to the information you give it.
  • Brevo: sends our emails, so it receives your email address, name, and the content of those emails.
  • Google Analytics: we use it to understand, in general terms, how visitors use our site, such as which pages are viewed and how people find us. It uses cookies and similar technology to collect information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and the pages you visit. We use this information in combined form to improve the site. You can limit this through the settings on our Opt-out Preferences page, your browser settings, or Google’s opt-out tools.
  • Google Fonts: loads the typefaces used on the site, which means your browser requests files from Google and your IP address is shared with Google.
  • CleanTalk: we may use this service to help block spam on forms and sign-ups. If it is active, it receives information such as your IP address and the content you submit in order to check it for spam.
  • Our website host: stores the site and its data.

Each provider’s own privacy policy applies to the information it handles. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or the security of the site.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your settings, protect the site, understand how the site is used, and load features. Details, and the choice to accept or decline optional cookies, are in our Cookie Policy and on our Opt-out Preferences page.

8. How long we keep information

We keep account and learning records while your account is active and for a reasonable time afterward so you can return to your work. We keep payment and tax records as long as the law requires. You can ask us to delete your account and records at any time (see section 10).

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, such as password protection and access limited to people who need it. No website can guarantee complete security.

10. Your choices and requests

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Parents and guardians can make these requests for their children. Email privacy@clarityonlinecourses.com from the address on the account. We may need to verify your identity before we act. You can also unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time, but we will still send necessary account messages.

11. If our business changes

If Ivory Rock LLC is sold, merged, or restructured, your information may be transferred to the successor, which will be bound to use it as described in this policy.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the updated policy.
